Tamara Mendels lives and works in the Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia.

Tamara Mendels received her MFA (Painting) from Sydney College of the Arts in 2011. In 2008 she became a co-founder and director of the Jon Frum Art Foundation New York & Los Angeles . Mendels was the co-organiser and curator of Sydney’s 2020 Art Shows in 20 days (2011-2012). Mendels has exhibited in solo and group shows in Sydney at Vandal Gallery , Damien Minton Annex Space, M-Contemporary, East Sydney Doctors, Peloton, James Dorahy Project Space, The Lost Bear Gallery, The Blue Mountains City Art Gallery. Mendels public art installation can be seen at the Broadway Shopping Centre, Ultimo, Sydney.

Internationally Mendels has exhibited in New York, Miami, Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles through Catinca Tabacaru Gallery and The Jon Frum Art Foundation in both solo and group shows including art fairs SCOPE Miami, The Fountain Art Fair Miami and New York, the Beethoven Festival Chicago and the Dallas Art Fair. Her work is held in private collections in Australia, England and the United States.
